Get to know Erline: Born in a small South Carolina town, less than 200 miles from Hilton Head Island, Erline Smith's Lowcountry roots run deep. Having vacationed here frequently, she moved to Sea Pines in 1997 and has watched the island become what it is today.Married to her childhood sweetheart, prior to beginning her real estate career, Erline was a wife for 26 years and mother to their two children. She lost her husband to pancreatic cancer 13 years ago, when she was only 43 years old.Erline is a highly-respected, intelligent, independent professional woman of whom her family and friends back home can be proud. She always says, "You can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl." That's true.
