It's been said that Colleton River Plantation occupies the finest piece of land anywhere in the Lowcountry. Boasting 1,500 pristine acres, this private residential haven is surrounded on three sides by water and enjoys seven miles of scenic shoreline. Those who enjoy their privacy will also appreciate the additional 1,200 acre nature conservancy that buffers Colleton River from the vibrant activities of Hilton Head and Bluffton, just moments away. Views throughout the community of the Colleton and Chechesee Rivers, the Port Royal Sound, and the Atlantic Ocean are framed by spectacular live oaks and towering sea pines. This landscape, coupled with an unparalleled amenity package, is unlike anything else on earth. We invite you to discover Colleton River for yourself.

- Amenities -

Membership at Colleton River brings with it access to world-class amenities including two clubhouses: the Dye Clubhouse and the brand new Nicklaus Clubhouse.

In addition to two award winning golf courses, tennis enthusiasts can take advantage of the Stan Smith tennis facility and boaters enjoy both individual and community deepwater docks. At Colleton River there is something for every member, including a Junior Olympic-sized swimming pool, and miles of nature paths to explore, and a new 6,000 square foot state-of-the-art fitness center with views overlooking the Nicklaus golf course and the River.

- Dining -

Dining at Colleton River is a culinary delight. With three different venues members will never be disappointed. Both the Dye and Nicklaus Clubhouses offer fine dining for lunch and dinner and the Halfway House provides lighter fare in a more relaxed atmosphere.

Nicklaus Course

Recognized as Best New Private Course in America in 1993 by Golf Digest, a “Top 100” course by Golf Magazine, "Top 100 Residential Golf Courses" by GolfWeek and as the “Best New Remodel” by Golf Digest, the Nicklaus course is a shining example of the work of one of golf’s legends, Jack Nicklaus.

Nicklaus capitalized on Colleton River’s surrounding beauty to build a course that is as visually appealing as it is challenging. Immaculately maintained, the course delivers a formidable yet rewarding golf experience for players of any skill level.

With a classic Lowcountry design set against the backdrop of the Colleton River the Nicklaus course offers one of the finest set of finishing holes in golf.

Dye Course

TPC at Sawgrass, Kiawah’s Ocean Course, Whistling Straits, Crooked Stick, the Stadium Course at PGA West, Harbour Town. It’s a legendary list of golf courses, all designed by Pete Dye. So when Dye himself describes his course at Colleton River as "the best course I have ever built,” it gets your attention pretty quickly.

Among its many accolades, the Dye course has been honored with a ranking in the “Top 100” courses by GolfWeek in 2007; and just six months after the course opened for play, Golf Magazine named it one of the "Top 100 Greatest Courses in the U.S."

Borland Course

Rounding out the golf experience at Colleton River is the challenging nine-hole Par 3 course. A member of the Nicklaus Colleton River design team, Bruce Borland, died in the plane crash along with Payne Stewart in 1999. The course is named in his memory. With multiple tees, the holes range in distance from 64 yards to 123 yards from the back tees and offer Colleton members a fun and enjoyable way to improve and perfect their short game.
